Description
Moving parts operating inside an engine, gearbox or hydraulic systems create metallic particles that circulate in the oil and cause normal wear. Normal oil filters catch particles larger than 25 micron. However, smaller particles pass through the filter and continue to circulate in the oil. These tiny particles are small enough to fit between bearings, shafts, seals, gears and other mechanical components and cause significant wear and create exponentially more particles. This cycle continues because an oil filter will never stop those small particles from circulating. FilterMag’s extremely powerful magnets capture these small wear-causing particles on the inside wall of the filter removing them from the lubricating oil. Removing these particles keeps your oil cleaner and helps to break the wear cycle, increasing the life of your engine, gearbox or hydraulic system.
